A Visit from the GFC

We had a visit from the Global Fund for Children at our Homabay office. Areas of discussion included some of our focus areas in regards to transforming the lives of the most vulnerable beneficiaries, key among them being children.

The meeting aimed to look into ways of synergy and ensuring that the organization’s mission is supported and strengthened. The LAF team delved into there programme areas explaining to the GFC team various avenues and initiatives for synergies and to find areas of collaboration, linking, and learning.

Good Deeds Day, 2022

Good Deeds Day is a global movement of people who are dedicated to doing good. We joined other partners in Kisumu, Grace Onyango Social hall in marking this year’s national celebrations.

We started with a peaceful procession from Kondele to Grace Onyango Social Hall with a rallying call for a peaceful living before, during, and after the August election. Let’s do good together


Lerne Adams foundation Advocates for SRHR among the adolescent girls and young women.We today had health talk on Menstrual hygiene, Sexual gender based violence to strengthen reporting pathways and issuance of dignity kits ,tissue papers,Sanitary towels at Central Primary school.

Feted at the VOYA 2021

Community Engagement Category

In 8th December 2021, we were feted at the annual volunteer of the year award under the community engagement category, In this category, our work was recognized for being able to reach under-served communities at the community level, and meaningfully engage and create empowerment opportunities for the community members.

The event was organized by UN Volunteers, Volunteer Involving Organizations Society and the Ministry of labor and social protection.

Day of the Girl Child

October 11 every year is recognized as an international day of the girl child.We today had an interactive session with our girls at community level to mark this wonderful day.The aim was to empower girls and promote access to digital devices and services.We provide platform for girls to air out their grievances,their opinions and magnify their voices in all aapects of the community.
